About our farm

I’m a fifth-generation dairy farmer and partner of the Nickerson Bar III operation in Hardee County, Florida.  We milk a total of 2,000 cows twice daily at our three farm locations; Zolfo Springs Dairy, Wauchula Dairy and Lemon Grove Dairy.
What’s most gratifying about being a dairy farmer?

Since my childhood growing up on the farm, I have known this was my dream job - to be a dairy farmer. I am fortunate that I can use my education, financial knowledge and experience in our daily management decisions affecting farm operations.
What is something you wish people knew/understood about dairy farmers/farming?

I want the consumers to know that we love our cows and our land – and we want to protect and preserve both – it’s not only a passion for us, but necessary for maintaining a successful business. Dairy farmers are business owners, and all businesses need to be profitable before they can be sustainable. Dairy farmers are resilient, and I am optimistic that we can overcome our most recent challenges by becoming more united and conscientious together.
How can people find your farm/your products?

Follow our movement! We are part of the Free Range 365 movement which allows our cows to have access to grass pastures 365 days per year. Follow us on Instagram @freerange365_dairy
